El Prado by the Creek, Tlaquepaque Village An exciting exhibit of fine art photography by our guest Dr. Art Womack. El Prado is proud to present the most revealing images of nature's underwater beauty in the photography of Dr. Art Womack. This work is the result of an innovative, determined and relentless photographer driven to extremes; attacked by sharks, covered in stings by jellyfish, and diving to depths only the insane would dare try for these once in a life time photographs.

Lanning Gallery
Lanning Gallery is pleased to feature an exhibition of photographs by local Sedona photographer Ron Draxler. The exhibition begins with an opening artist's reception, from 5-8 pm, during Sedona's 1st Friday Gallery Tour and extends throughout the Photo Fest. A Sedona resident for 25 years Draxler only turned seriously to photography three years ago and already has been included in the prestigious Black & White Magazine's annual "Single Image". contest 2010. For Draxler it is urban landscapes that call to him and for roughly the past year he has found unique inspiration in the layered imagery of reflections. His results are often surrealistic, even abstract as he creates, with a single shot, images that can appear complexly layered.

Turquiose Tortoise Gallery
Turquoise Tortoise Gallery is proud to offer an exhibition by local Sedona photographer Patti Lee. The exhibition begins with an artist's reception, from 5-8 pm, during Sedona's 1st Friday Gallery Tour and extends throughout this year's Photo Fest. Lee has coined the term "Artography" to represent the singular methods she employs to create her works of art. At their core, each image begins as a simple photograph, a macro viewpoint of pure nature.
On her computer Lee then transforms her photographs into surrealist or even abstract imagery: The sun on the pad of a prickly pear illustrates its own energy; a branch of leaves becomes a landscape of hills and streams. It is Lee's study of interior architecture, her years spent in interior design, display design, and the art gallery world that has fed her acute sense of color, design and abstraction.
